OUR STORY
A BACKYARD CONVERSATION THAT SPARKED A MOVEMENT
Care Connect Partners was born in the spring of 2025 on a warm Saturday morning in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
Co-founders Ryan Fisher and Michael May, lifelong friends since their teenage years, sat on Ryan's back deck watching their combined ten children play. Both families had just welcomed newborn sons, adding joy (and sleepless nights) to their already full homes.
As they talked, the conversation turned to the escalating childcare crisis. Ryan shared how childcare costs had forced his wife to leave her job. Mike described how he and his wife Brittany, raising seven children, four through the foster system, struggled with the financial and emotional strain of childcare, forcing Brittany to drastically reduce her professional hours.
Ryan brought deep insight from overseeing a network of nonprofit childcare centers. Mike brought the analytical rigor of a manufacturing controller who had seen talented employees leave the workforce due to childcare challenges.
Then came the pivotal question that changed everything:
What if we could take the burden off families entirely, and create a truly cost-neutral way for employers to get involved?
THE BLUEPRINT SKETCHED OVER COFFEE
Removes Complexity for Employers
No risk, no program to build, no administration to manage.
Leverages Federal and State Tax Credits
Powerful credits applied so the model stays near cost-neutral.
Over cups of coffee and scribbled notes, the blueprint for Care Connect Partners emerged: a turnkey intermediary model that:
Makes Care Affordable for Families
Dramatically lower out-of-pocket cost for working parents.
Connects Communities in Shared Solutions
Churches, nonprofits, and businesses working the problem together.
Stabilizes and Strengthens Providers
Predictable enrollment and better wages for frontline educators.
Care Connect Partners wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born in a backyard, between two dads who believed there had to be a better way.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & CO-FOUNDER
Michael May
Michael May is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Care Connect Partners, the 45F intermediary he developed alongside longtime friend Ryan Fisher. Bringing rigorous financial expertise and a deeply analytical mindset to the organization, Mike oversees the financial strategy, tax credit optimization, and scalable modeling that make Care Connect Partners' cost-neutral employer solutions possible.
His data-driven approach ensures every partnership is built on sound economics that deliver measurable wins for employers, families, and providers alike. A seasoned controller in the manufacturing industry, Mike has spent years managing complex budgets, forecasting, and operational finance in high-volume production environments. In that world he has witnessed firsthand the toll the childcare crisis takes on the workforce: talented employees reducing hours, leaving jobs, or exiting the industry entirely because quality, affordable childcare simply wasn't available.
Mike and his wife, Brittany, a talented fashion designer, have seven children, four of whom joined their family through the foster system. Like many parents, they have felt the financial and emotional strain of childcare costs; Brittany was forced to drastically cut back her professional hours to make the family budget work. These lived realities, coupled with Mike's professional observations of workforce attrition, drove him to ask the pivotal question that launched Care Connect Partners.
A solutions-oriented leader with a sharp analytical mind, Mike excels at turning complex problems into practical, numbers-backed strategies. He holds a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University and applies the same precision he brings to corporate finance to the innovative tax-credit and partnership models powering Care Connect Partners. Beyond his professional life, Mike serves on the elder board at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church and leads the men's ministries, where he mentors others in faith, family, and leadership. He and Brittany reside in Denver, Pennsylvania with their children.
Guided by faith, family values, and a commitment to practical impact, Mike is dedicated to advancing Care Connect Partners' mission: connecting employers, providers, and communities in ways that make high-quality childcare accessible, affordable, and sustainable for everyone — especially the next generation.
